Recent Initiatives
- TOXCO, a lithium battery recycling center, received a $9.5 million grant from ARRA to expand their facilities in 2011
- Westerman Companies, Inc. diversified their business to include a division specializing in nuclear containment vessels. This $4.2 million expansion is slated to be completed in 2012
- Fairfield County Regional Planning Commission received a grant from The Ohio State University to develop a Local Foods initiative to increase the connectivity between local growers, processors, retailers and consumers
- Connect Ohio, a partnership between the state of Ohio and a national not-for-profit, Connected Nation, improves broadband access and related technology for Ohio businesses and residents (www.connectohio.org)
