  • Completion of a transload rail facility owned and operated by Lancaster Port Authority
  • The completion of one of the largest pipelines ever constructed, Rockies Express, delivers approximately 1.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas to the Midwest
  • The Ohio Department of Public Safety recently completed a $1.1 million, 5,900 square foot facility to house the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol
  • A collaborative effort between South Central Power and the Fairfield County Emergency Management Agency to install an additional 24 early warning sirens
  • Construction is in progress for a $713,000 addition to the rehabilitation facility at Echo Manor
  • Completion of a 30,000 square foot building for Manifold and Phalor
  • Now available: A 90-acre Sycamore Crossing Business Park in Violet Township

Recent Initiatives

  • TOXCO, a lithium battery recycling center, received a $9.5 million grant from ARRA to expand their facilities in 2011
  • Westerman Companies, Inc. diversified their business to include a division specializing in nuclear containment vessels. This $4.2 million expansion is slated to be completed in 2012
  • Fairfield County Regional Planning Commission received a grant from The Ohio State University to develop a Local Foods initiative to increase the connectivity between local growers, processors, retailers and consumers
  • Connect Ohio, a partnership between the state of Ohio and a national not-for-profit, Connected Nation, improves broadband access and related technology for Ohio businesses and residents (www.connectohio.org)
